Almost nobody has ordered a piece of furniture on a freight truck before. Parcel delivery is familiar: a van arrives, a box is left at the door, an app tracks every scan. Freight works differently, and the unfamiliarity is what makes people hesitate at checkout. This is the whole process, from the moment you order to the moment the crate is on your driveway.
What is LTL freight, and why is my vanity shipped that way?
LTL stands for less than truckload. Your vanity shares a trailer with other freight rather than traveling in a dedicated truck, and it moves between regional terminals on the way to you. Vanities ship this way because a crated 59-inch cabinet, 59 by 20 by 18 inches with a porcelain countertop, is far beyond what parcel carriers handle.
The practical difference is handling. A parcel is thrown on a belt; a freight crate is moved by pallet jack and forklift, strapped in place, and transferred between trailers at each terminal. That is gentler for a heavy object but it involves more stops, which is why freight takes longer than a parcel and why inspection on arrival matters. Every shipment we dispatch carries complimentary shipping insurance for exactly this reason, arranged and paid for by us rather than added to your order at checkout. The shipping protection page explains what that covers and how a claim is filed.
How long does a bathroom vanity take to arrive?
Expect 7 to 15 business days in total, from order to your curb, depending on how far you are from Tampa. That covers inspection and crating in our warehouse plus freight transit. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays, so the estimate usually lands at two to three calendar weeks.
The processing stage is not idle time. Each unit is checked before it leaves, because catching a defect in Tampa is far cheaper for everyone than catching it on your driveway. Transit length depends mostly on distance and on how many terminal transfers your route involves; the West Coast typically sits at the longer end of the range and the Southeast at the shorter. Nothing here is special order. Everything sits in the warehouse, which is why the clock starts the day you order rather than the day a container lands.
Will the carrier call me before delivery?
Yes. When your shipment reaches the local terminal, the carrier telephones you to schedule a delivery window. This is standard for residential freight and it is not optional, because a freight truck cannot simply leave a crated vanity unattended the way a parcel courier leaves a box.
Use that call to say anything the driver needs to know: a narrow street, a steep driveway, a gate code, a preferred time of day. If the number on your order is one you do not answer during working hours, change it before the shipment leaves us, since a missed scheduling call is the most common cause of delay at this stage. Once the window is agreed, treat it as an appointment. Under our terms, a missed delivery appointment can result in return shipping fees being deducted from a refund.
Where exactly does the driver leave the vanity?
At the curb. Freight delivery is curbside, which means the driver brings the crate to the edge of your property and no further. Moving the vanity inside the house is the customer's responsibility. Plan for that before delivery day rather than on it.
For the 30-inch ASPEN, 30 by 20 by 22 inches, this is a 2-person job. For a 71-inch double it is a 3-person job, and worth arranging properly. If your bathroom renovation already involves a contractor, the simplest arrangement is to schedule delivery for a day the crew is on site. If not, plan for two capable people, a clear path from the curb, and somewhere flat and dry to open the crate. A garage is ideal, because it gives you room to open the crate fully and inspect the countertop and basin before anything is carried upstairs or through a doorway.
Do I need to be home for the delivery?
Someone does. An adult over 18 has to be present to receive the shipment and sign the delivery receipt. That signature is what transfers the goods to you, and it is also the document on which any visible damage has to be recorded before the driver leaves.
It does not have to be you personally. A partner, a family member, a neighbor or your contractor can receive it, as long as they are over 18 and know to inspect the crate before signing rather than after. Brief whoever it is beforehand: check the packaging, open it if possible, write "Damaged upon arrival" on the receipt if anything looks wrong, and photograph everything. Damage has to be reported to us within 48 hours, which is two business days, so the person signing needs to tell you the same day.
Which states do you ship to?
We ship to the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, any United States territory, armed forces addresses, or any international destination. Checkout will not complete for an address outside the lower 48 and DC, so nobody pays for delivery we cannot make.
Within that area, delivery is genuinely free rather than free above a threshold or free on selected items. Free shipping is the only shipping method we offer: there is no expedited tier to upsell, no surcharge for a heavy crate, and no separate freight line at checkout. On any of the 10 vanities, priced between $995 and $2,740, LTL freight would ordinarily be a meaningful cost, so it is worth being explicit that the price you see on the vanity collection is the price you pay.
Where does my vanity ship from?
Every order ships from our warehouse in Tampa, Florida, where all models are kept in stock. There is no choice of origin to make at checkout, and nothing is drop-shipped from a third party.
Because everything leaves the same building, the main variable in the timeline is distance: a customer in Orlando will usually be at the shorter end of the 7 to 15 business day range, and one on the West Coast at the longer end. None of this changes the price. If you need a firmer estimate for a project schedule, ask when you order and we will tell you what to expect for your ZIP code.
Is local pickup faster than freight delivery?
Considerably. Local pickup at our Tampa location is available and skips freight transit entirely, so you collect as soon as the order is ready rather than waiting the full 7 to 15 business days. Pickup applies to selected items and needs to be confirmed with us first.
It also removes the curbside problem, because you are loading directly into your own vehicle or your contractor's truck and you can inspect the unit before it leaves the building rather than after it arrives. Bring a valid order confirmation or packing slip, and bring a vehicle that genuinely fits the crate. Once an item is picked up and signed for, it is considered received in good condition and we are not responsible for damage after that point, so inspect it carefully while you are still in the building. Details and hours are on our FAQ page.

Planning a delivery date
If your renovation has a fixed date, count backwards: 15 business days before you need the vanity on site is a safe order date, and ordering earlier costs nothing because everything is already in stock. Call 813-621-9396 if you want to talk through timing, or visit the showroom at 8504 E Adamo Dr #117, Tampa, Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, by appointment.
